Give a little energy justice this holiday season

I have already shared with you what a big year 2018 was for us here at AEF. A key theme has been our ongoing pursuit of energy justice – we want to make sure we look after all our neighbours across Australia.

A special project

Therefore, I wanted to share with you a special project that we are particularly proud of and to give you an opportunity to get involved…

The Re4Bre project, based in Brewarrina in northern NSW, is founded on the vision of local elder Uncle Ike. Ike wants “to see all the Indigenous people who live in country areas who struggle with power to have cheap power. It doesn’t have to be a burden to them. Let them live, and enjoy life.”

How we’re helping

AEF is working with The Valley Centre and Pingala to set up a rolling fund of no-interest loans to install solar and batteries in Indigenous communities across Australia.

We are currently crowd funding from the general public. We are also seeking philanthropic and corporate donations to install solar and batteries in Brewarrina. Then those households will pay off the no-interest loan with their savings and then we start working with the next community.

Join the crowd

The project has already received support from:

We would love to add you and/or your organisation to the list of supporters in 2019.

The best news is you can feel amazing about making a contribution to this project, know it will make a real difference… and it’s tax deductible.

If you can’t afford to donate at the moment then please share with as many people as you can!

Let’s work together towards Energy Justice in 2019!
