The Australian Energy Foundation was established to tackle climate change at a local level.
In the twenty years we have been operating the lack of federal and international leadership has led to a drastic rise in carbon emissions globally and we are now feeling the real and devastating impacts of climate change on communities here and overseas.
We are undoubtedly facing a climate emergency. We have ourselves declared a climate emergency joining 70 local governments around the country (with more being added each month), the UK parliament, Federal Labor Party, 1100 scientists from around the world and a growing number of businesses.
Our Climate Emergency Action Plan
Already a carbon neutral organisation, we are reviewing all organisational policies and procedures in line with a climate emergency declaration.
